Approach the doorway, or simply wait.
| Chante | "Ah, I just remembered!!" |
|---|---|
| Elise | "What is it, Nee-san?" |
| Chante | "This place... I feel like I've seen this scenary before." |
| Elise | "... If you say so, but where?" |
| Chante | "You know, just before we met Aira and Elma. We rested by this stump..." |
| The screen fades out. | |
| Chante | "...Elise~ I'm hungry." |
| Elise | "Geez, Nee-san is always going 'I'm hungry. I'm hungry.'" |
| Chante | "I'm so hungry, because even a carp is hungry!" |
| Elise | "Again, I can't understand what you mean..."
"It can't be helped." "It's a little early, but shall we have lunch?" |
| Chante | "Really! Yay, I really like you Elise!" |
| Elise | "Geez, 姉さんは調子がいいんだから."
"Here, shall we eat then?" |
| Chante | "Ah, you got those from the last town, didn't you? If I'm not mistaken, these are called 'rice balls', right?" |
| Elise | "That's right, that person was really kind." |
| Chante | "Such a soft-hearted person. They're sure to be cheated by a bad man." |
| Elise | "... Nee-san." |
| Chante | "Since I always follow you, you're safe. I won't allow any bad insects even get close." |
| Elise | "... Ahaha. Then I'll leave it to you." |
| Chante | "Hey, hey. From such a thing." |
| Elise | "Mm? Ah, yes, yes."
"I'm about to partake!" |
| Chante | "... Er..."
"Aaah...!" |
| Elise | "What is it?" |
| Chante | "The rice ball is rolling! Wait!" |
| Elise | "... Wai-"
"Wait, Nee-san! Wait for me!" |
Once you can move again, enter the open doorway in the mountain side.
At the start of the stage, head directly right and jump off the side of the cliff. Hug the left side and you'll land on a ledge with a barrel on it. Destroy the barrel and the treasure chest will appear on the ground nearby.
Blue Slime, Caterpillar, Bee
The enemies are spread out around the map, but there's nothing really necessary to note. This area should be review for you.
Clear the stage and defeat the grey Eggshell that appears to the left of the doorway to the next area. The treasure chest will appear near where the Eggshell was.
Mushroom, Red Mushroom, Bee, Blue Slime, Giant Blue Slime, **Mini Blue Slime, *Grey Eggshell
You'll start off surrounded by Mushrooms, so take care in dealing with them or you might lose a fair amount of HP. They're not any different in tactics, so it shouldn't pose too much of a problem. On the right side of the map along the way to the doorway is a Giant Blue Slime, so be sure to equip the Flame Crystal to take care of it quickly.
| Chante and Elise head towards a hole in the ground. | |
| Chante | "Wait! My rice ball!!" |
|---|---|
| Elise | "How should I say this, Nee-san... Are you really going to eat that rice ball after chasing after it?" |
| Chante | "Wait I said!"
"Aaah...!" |
| Elise | "What is it?" |
| Chante | "The rice ball fell into the hole..." |
| Elise | "Just give up already. It's been more than 5 seconds since it fell, so you shouldn't pick it up and eat it." (The "5-second rule" states that bacteria won't affect food that falls on the floor if you pick it up within 5 seconds. Referenced from Misao, Lucky☆Star) |
| Chante | "Ay!" |
| Chante flies down into the hole. | |
| Elise | "She doesn't listen anyways..." |
| Elise jumps in after Chante. | |
As soon as the stage starts, you'll find yourself near a small pool of water in the middle of the map. Fish from it and the treasure chest will appear near your starting location.
Mushroom, Eggshell, Skeleton, Yellow Ahriman, Giant Blue Slime, **Mini Blue Slime
Grey Porcupine - These are just like the blue and yellow kind. I take it they're probably stronger and can take more damage and are probably non-elemental.
There are some Skeletons on the path down, so you can exploit them to obtain as many gems as you need to take out the rest of the enemies. If you let yourself fall down from where you start off into the middle of the map, you'll find yourself surrounded by Grey Porcupines and Giant Blue Slimes. I strongly suggest using the Flame Crystal to take the Giant Blue Slimes down quickly, but the Dark Crystal will allow you to replenish lost HP, so it's up to you. Otherwise, just use them on a per situation basis like I usually do.
| Chante and Elise come rushing into the room | |
| Chante | "Tah!!"
"Come on, give me back my rice ball..." "Eh~!?" |
|---|---|
| Elise | "Nee-san, wait up!"
"Or rather, what is it?" "..." "Eh~!?" |
Get Johnny Jijio to eat yellow gems and run into the white mess that he spits out 3 times and the chest will appear.
Green Slime
*Johnny Jijio
Defeat Johnny Jijio. Defeating the Green Slimes will just cause them to respawn over time.
Johnny Jijio will run around and pick up any gems he finds on the ground, eat them and use some attack related to its element. Otherwise, he'll run up to you and attack you with his hammer. Green gems make Johnny Jijio let out a green gas. Blue gems cause him to blow bubbles. Red gems cause him to breathe fire and yellow gems cause him to spit out a white liquid that will render you unable to run away if you step in it.
There's not really much strategy here. Just attack him with all you've got. If you attack him with your sword, be prepare to run when he topples over onto the ground from your final strike. He'll jump back to his feet and smack you with his hammer.
Downward Swing (武器を振り下ろす)
Triple Strike (武器による三連撃)
Trample (踏みつけ)
Aura Emission (オーラ放出)
Magic Stone Consumption Attacks (魔法石を食べて攻撃)
- Red → Flame (炎) (relatively long reach)
- Blue → Bubbles (泡)
- Yellow → Bird Lime (トリモチ) (stepping in it makes you unable to move temporarily)
- Green → Paralysis Breath (麻痺ブレス) (short reach)
A basic attack pattern is to approach and strike. Magic stones can either be found or eaten. A mark is displayed prior to a magic stone being consumed. At the beginning of battle, it has no element, but after consuming a magic stone, it assumed that element. He'll fall over from 3 successive attacks. He'll have an aura when he rises. Since he moves quickly, it might not be easy to hit him with magic. There's sometimes a hole on the edge of the map opposite of the starting position.
Just collect gems in the following order: red, red, yellow, yellow and use them all at once. This will give you a strength-enhanced Super Armour. Then just chase after Johnny Jijio and strike him a few times with your sword and he'll go down in a few seconds. Alternatively, you can try to bring those gems with you from the previous stage by exploiting the fact that Skeletons cannot be vanquished with your sword (without the aid of an elemental crystal).
| Chante | "Au~ ... My rice ball is tattered." |
|---|---|
| Elise | "You haven't already given up on this rice ball, have you?"
"まだ残ってるから戻って食べよ" |
| Chante | "Yeah~" |
| Elise | "Huh? Nee-san, what's that?" |
| Chante | "Hm? It fell over there."
"A medicine bottle, I guess. Um..." "It's says 'Genius compounding master's creation, クツヨクナ~ル DX'." |
| Elise | "... Then, no way! That rat earlier is..." |
| Chante | "What genius compounding master? もし会ったら文句言ってやる" |
| Elise | "Maybe we'll meet them someday if we continue our travels." |
| Screen fades | |
| Chante | "... There was something of the sort, right?" |
| Elise | "That's right. At that time, 姉さんのがっかり具合といったら凄かったよね." |
| Chante | "Somehow... about the 'genius compounding master' that made the medicine which made that rat grow to an enormous size..." |
| Elise | "It's terrible... 知ってる人のような気がするね." |
| Chante | "It is him no matter how you think about it." |
If you've already gone through The survival dungeon, you are now completely finished with Chantelise! If not, well, you know what to do.
