Stage 4B: The cave of an abyss (深淵の洞窟)

Many will likely learn to hate this stage due to the fog. If not for the fog, this would simply be just another competition stage. With the fog, however, it adds a bit more of a challenge since it's more difficult to see what's in front of you.
The first gap can easily be passed by using the Springs. If you choose to pass the Spring after the two Dropping boards that are side-by-side, there is a Dash plate that can help you get further faster. It's a tricky thing to do and you will definitely not be able to reach it without using a Dash yourself, so whether or not to do it is questionable. If you have the improved Dash plate title on though, it may be worth it to get the extra boost.
The following sections are pretty straight forward with lots of Springs to help you get up to the upper path if you choose to do so. If you stay along the upper path, there is another Dash plate on the way. Beyond that is another long hole. Be sure that you use the Springs to catapult you across to each consecutive one.

The stage starts out with a large hole. Unfortunately, the path is very narrow, with only small blocks placed every few in-game feet. Make it across and there's a Spinner and a Keystone waiting for you at/after the next hole.
If you can make it to the top where the Keystone is, there is a Dash plate there. You should land directly on the Jumping board if you use it. Take the upper path afterwards to avoid another Keystone.
Yet another large hole with scattered stone blocks awaits after that. Use the Spring to catapult yourself upwards. When you reach the highest stone block (the second one after the Spring), you can use a dash to get around jumping across the rest of the way.
There are 2 Spinners beyond the large hole surrounding a smaller one. Be careful with these as they will get obstructive later on. If you were able to obtain some bombs from the previous stage, it would probably be a good idea to use them here.
Beyond that is yet another large hole, but this time, to make matters worse, there are now Spinners between each of the stone platforms. After the Spinners are some Jumping boards that can help you get across to the next section. Don't spend too much time using the Jumping boards, or your opponents will charge ahead.
Once again, we have another issue, 2 Spinners placed vertically. Just make sure that you pass through them the same way each time and you should be okay.
